Liceo Artistico di Napoli

The Liceo Artistico Statale di Napoli, established in 1923 under the Gentile Reform (R.D.L. 31 December 1923, n. 3123), originated within the Accademia di Belle Arti di Napoli. It was the sole Artistic High School on the mainland south of Rome until the 1980s, and the only one in Naples until the 2010 Gelmini Reform. The school is currently housed in the monumental complex of Santi Apostoli, a 17th-century building designed by Francesco Grimaldi and restored in the 1970s by architect Mario Rispoli. This historic site, harmonically integrated into Naples' ancient center, previously served as a convent, barracks, and tobacco factory. The school aims to provide a high artistic education, distinct from industrial applications. Its educational approach focuses on valuing the individual student, fostering creative potential, and harmonious personality development, adhering to specific learning objectives outlined in each curriculum.
