The International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) was granted Self-Accreditation status by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) in February 2017. All programs offered by KAED, including its architecture degrees, are accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and professional bodies such as the Board of Architects Malaysia (Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia - LAM). The Bachelor of Science (Architectural Studies) (Honours) program was accredited by LAM from December 1, 2016, to November 30, 2022. MQA's accreditation is generally perpetual for programs accredited since 2007, unless otherwise stated.
Admissions
Requirements
Language Requirements: English is the primary medium of instruction. Applicants should submit a TOEFL score of 550, or an IELTS score of 6.0, or pass the English Placement Test (EPT) administered by IIUM. Candidates not meeting these requirements may take language proficiency courses within the university. Arabic is employed as a secondary medium of instruction.
General Requirements for Malaysians (Bachelor of Science (Architectural Studies) (Honours)): Minimum SPM level (or equivalent) with a Credit in Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia, a Credit in 'Pendidikan Islam' / 'Tasawwur Islam' / 'Pendidikan Al-Qur'an & As-Sunnah' / 'Pendidikan Syariah Islamiah', and a Credit in any three (3) other subjects; OR a Diploma or equivalent with a CGPA of 3.00, recognized by the Government of Malaysia and approved by the University Senate; OR a Pass at the STAM examination with at least Jayyid Jiddan; OR a Pass at the STPM examination with a CGPA of 3.00 or at least Grade C (SGP 2.00) in the General Paper and Grade C (SGP 2.00) in two (2) other subjects. Additionally, candidates must obtain a required Band in the 'Malaysian University English Test' (MUET) as specified by each program.
