Gaza Training Center

Architects for Gaza is an initiative by architects, educators, planners, environmentalists, and designers condemning the violence in the Gaza Strip. Their mission includes calling for a permanent ceasefire and supporting the rebuilding of Gaza in collaboration with displaced families. A key component of their work is the Gaza Global University, a hybrid virtual and physical institution providing free education to architecture students in Gaza who cannot continue their studies due to destroyed or damaged universities. The university aims to bring together academics and practitioners globally to offer online tutorials and lectures, and establish interdisciplinary clusters for local students. This initiative is a radical pedagogical project rooted in hope and shared humanity, focused on supporting Palestinian students, academics, and scholars in architecture and related courses like design and urbanism. The organization also supports self-help reconstruction efforts and advocates for the reinstatement of essential services in Gaza.
