Facultad de Arquitectura de la Habana

The Facultad de Arquitectura of the Universidad Tecnológica de La Habana José Antonio Echeverría (CUJAE) is the leading center for Architecture and Urbanism studies in Cuba. Established with roots tracing back to October 1, 1900, when Architecture was added to the University of Havana's engineering school, it later became a significant faculty within CUJAE. The faculty is highly regarded for its strong ties with local entities and territories, actively seeking solutions for improving urban habitats and promoting sustainable urbanism and architecture. It boasts the expertise of the Disaster Studies Group (GREDES), which has notably developed a Guide for Disaster Studies and contributed to territorial hazard, vulnerability, and risk assessments through architectural research. The university itself, CUJAE, was awarded the superior category of excellence by the National Accreditation Board in February 2017, reflecting its commitment to comprehensive student development, impactful research, and community engagement both nationally and internationally.
