The Major in Architecture is for students who intend to pursue a career in architecture or a related design discipline (e.g., landscape architecture, urban design, product design, etc.). The Design Concentration includes a six-semester sequence of design studios and courses in the history and theory of art, architecture, and landscape architecture.

The Intensive Major in Architecture is for students in the Design Concentration who intend to pursue a graduate professional degree in architecture. Students in the Intensive Major enroll in their senior year in the technology courses offered in the first year of the Master of Architecture Professional Degree Program.

The Master of Architecture degree is a professional degree accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB). The Master of Architecture Professional Degree is a comprehensive and rigorous program, preparing graduates for the full range of activities in the profession.

The Master of Science in Design with a concentration in Advanced Architectural Design (MSD-AAD) is a one-year program for architecture graduates with five-year degrees. The program emphasizes innovation and leadership over three semesters, integrating hands-on experience with advanced design technologies including generative AI and robotics.

PennWest's Bachelor of Design (BDes) degree in Graphic Design prepares majors to enter the growing and dynamic field of visual communication in graphic design. Graphic designers give form to visual ideas through the creative problem solving process-planning, analyzing, defining, creating, and evaluating the role their visual solutions have within the context of today's communication.
