The School of Architecture and Urban Planning at Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture (BUCEA) offers a robust undergraduate and graduate education system. Located on the Xicheng Campus at 1 Zhanlanguan Road, Beijing, its Architecture major is recognized as a national characteristic major. The program has maintained national professional evaluation since 1996, with a successful review in 2019 valid for six years. Similarly, Urban and Rural Planning and Design received national professional assessment in 2011, re-evaluated in 2019. BUCEA pioneered Historic Building Preservation Engineering in China in 2012, offering doctoral and postdoctoral programs in this field. The school collaborates closely with the Beijing Urban Design Innovation Center for Future Cities, providing students with international study tours and academic exchange opportunities.
