Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU) is a public university located in Haidian, Beijing, China, directly affiliated with the Ministry of Education. Established in 1962, it is uniquely dedicated to the mission of spreading Chinese language and culture across the world, often referred to as the 'Little United Nations' due to its diverse international student body. BLCU offers 54 Bachelor programs, including 18 national first-class discipline programs, across nine disciplines: Literature, Science, Engineering, Economics, Management, Law, Education, History, and Arts. The university is committed to cultivating international talents with professional expertise, humanistic qualities, global vision, innovative spirit, and practical skills, fostering envoys of friendship for cultural exchanges between China and other countries. To date, BLCU has trained approximately 70,000 domestic students and 220,000 international students from 184 countries and regions, who are proficient in Chinese language and familiar with Chinese culture.
