About North China Institute of Technology

North China Institute of Science and Technology (NCIST) is the only public university affiliated with the Ministry of Emergency Management of the People's Republic of China, previously managed by the State Administration of Work Safety. Established in 1984 as Beijing Coal Management Institute, it evolved into North China Mining College in 1993 and adopted its current name in 2002. NCIST aims to be a modern university specialized in safety, with a strong focus on engineering, complemented by management, science, literature, economics, and law disciplines.
