The Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), situated at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, stands as the Department of the Air Force's leading institution for advanced, multi-disciplinary academic education and technical professional continuing education. As a key component of Air University and Air Education and Training Command, AFIT is committed to providing defense-focused graduate education, cutting-edge research, and operationally-relevant training. Its mission is to sustain the technological supremacy of America's air, space, and cyber forces by educating defense professionals to innovatively accomplish deterrence and warfighting missions. AFIT fulfills this mission through its four schools: the Graduate School of Engineering and Management, the School of Systems and Logistics, the School of Strategic Force Studies, and the Civil Engineer School. Since 2008, it has also been designated the Air Force's Cyber Technical Center of Excellence, further managing educational programs for Airmen enrolled in civilian institutions and facilitating the Education with Industry (EWI) program to transfer industry best-practices to the Air Force.
