US Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI)

Green Building Council Indonesia (GBCI) is an independent, not-for-profit organization founded in 2009 by leading professionals and companies in the Indonesian building industry. Its core mission is to transform market and industry players to be more responsible and sustainable. GBCI focuses on four main programs: Rating Development, Training and Education, Green Building Certification, and Stakeholder Engagement. As an Established Member of the World Green Building Council (WGBC), GBCI administers the GREENSHIP certification system, which utilizes unique Indonesian rating tools for various building types including New Building, Existing Building, Interior Space, Homes, Neighborhood, and Net Zero projects. GBCI also collaborates with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to manage EDGE Certification, contributing significantly to the green building movement in Indonesia.
