About The Art Institute of York, PA
The Art Institute of York – Pennsylvania was a for-profit college, part of The Art Institutes system, which provided education in design, media arts, fashion, and culinary arts. Founded in 1952 as the York Academy of Arts, it was renamed the Bradley Academy for the Visual Arts in 1988 before joining The Art Institutes system in 2003 and adopting its final name in 2007. The campus, located in Springettsbury Township, encompassed approximately 45,000 square feet of classrooms, computer labs, a library, studios, and office space. The institution stopped enrolling new students in May 2015, held its last day of instruction on September 23, 2017, and was permanently closed as of July 12, 2019.
