About Design Academy Eindhoven

Design Academy Eindhoven (DAE) is a globally recognized University of the Arts specializing in design, part of the Dutch Universities of Applied Sciences. For over 70 years, it has fostered aspiring designers to innovate and critically engage with design as an instrument for material, social, environmental, and critical change. Guided by values of co-participation, care, and pushing discourse forward, DAE cultivates an interdisciplinary community of over 700 students from more than 40 countries. Its urban campus features state-of-the-art studios, diverse workshops for practical making, and a comprehensive library, supporting a curriculum embedded with research and critical thinking.

Requirements
Master: Completed Bachelor-level qualification, preferably in design, design history, curatorial studies, or equivalent. Applicants with a Bachelor in art, architecture, art history, or humanities with demonstrable affinity for design are also considered. Application requires a motivation letter, portfolio, 1-minute MP4 introduction video, portrait picture, and CV. Successful applicants are invited for an online interview.
Bachelor: Dutch HAVO, VWO, or MBO-4 diploma, or equivalent international qualification. Applicants 21+ without required diplomas can take an HBO test. Application includes creating Studielink and Osiris accounts, completing an application form, and submitting a portfolio (Home Assignments + at least 5 3D works). A 15-minute online interview is conducted.
