The Cleveland Institute of Art's Interior Architecture program spans commercial, retail, architectural, functional, and spatial design. Students explore design processes, material specifications, and ethical problem-solving. The program emphasizes drawing, rendering, CAD, and 3D modeling for presentations. Students can engage in exhibitions, job fairs, and workshops with leading furniture and materials companies. The college is currently reimagining its curriculum to launch a new degree program focused on design as a holistic practice, encompassing environment, experience, interior, material and virtual design. This will also have a strong link to their soon-to-open Interactive Media Lab.
