Scott Community College (SCC), a vital component of the Eastern Iowa Community Colleges, has been serving the Quad Cities region since 1966. Originally established to provide technical programs, SCC has evolved into a comprehensive institution offering pre-university and career-focused programs. The main campus in Riverdale opened in 1969, expanding over the years to include multiple locations such as the Blong Technology Center and the Urban Campus in Davenport. The Urban Campus, notably, occupies a modernized 92,000 square-foot facility, innovatively adapted from two former bank buildings, symbolizing the college's commitment to revitalizing the urban core and creating dynamic learning environments.
