About United World College of South-East Asia

United World College of South-East Asia (UWCSEA) is an independent international K-12 school located in Singapore, with two campuses: Dover and East. It is a member of the global United World College (UWC) movement, founded in 1971. UWCSEA provides a holistic K-12 education based on five interlinking elements: academics, activities, outdoor education, personal and social education, and service. The school follows a bespoke, concept-based curriculum that leads to the UWC Program in Grades 9 and 10 and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma in Grades 11 and 12. With a diverse community of over 5,500 students from around 100 nationalities, UWCSEA's mission is to educate individuals to embrace challenge and take responsibility for shaping a better world. It is not an architecture school.

Admissions
Deadlines
UWCSEA operates an annual admissions cycle, not rolling admissions. For August entry (Grades K1-11 day, Grades 8-11 boarding), Round 1 applications are from September 1 to November 3 of the preceding year (offers in December). Round 2 applications are from November 3 to February 2 of the same year (offers in March). Applications for January entry (Grades K1-10 day only) may be submitted until July or early August prior to January, with offers typically made in October.

UWCSEA seeks to build balanced and diverse cohorts. Key factors considered include personality, background, variety of experience, interests, activities, proactive involvement in school and community life, and the applicant's potential to flourish within the learning program and embrace the College's mission and values. A complete application typically includes the application form, supporting documents, two years of school reports, student references, relevant assessments, and a non-refundable application fee. An immigration pass and, for Singapore citizens, a Ministry of Education (MOE) waiver are also required.
