Spring Garden College, originally established as the Spring Garden Institute in 1851, was a private technical college located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It evolved from an institute focused on practical training and theoretical knowledge, with mechanical drawing and architecture being significant parts of its early curriculum. The institution offered bachelor's degree programs in various engineering technologies later in its history. Over time, it occupied several locations, including 523–25 North Broad Street, 102 East Mermaid Lane, and finally 7500 Germantown Avenue in Mt. Airy. The college faced declining enrollment and financial difficulties, leading to its closure in 1992.
