About LAD College

Smt. Manoramabai Mundle College of Architecture (SMMCA) in Nagpur, operating under the Women's Education Society, began as a Department of Architecture of Lady Amritbai Daga (LAD) College in 1993-94. It achieved independent college status in 2008-09, following approval from the Council of Architecture, New Delhi, the Government of India, Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj (RTM) Nagpur University, and the Government of Maharashtra. The college introduced a postgraduate M.Arch in Architecture Education in 2007-2008 and a Ph.D. in Architecture in 2012-2013. An M.Arch in Urban Design program commenced in the 2019-20 academic year. SMMCA's vision is to attain global standards through modernization while retaining essential traditional characteristics. The mission is to cultivate an educational environment that equips students with contemporary knowledge, analytical and practical skills, a creative problem-solving approach, and a strong sense of responsibility towards national, social, and environmental concerns.
