New degree-seeking students are required to complete a pre-enrollment placement test, though exemptions are available for those with transferred college-level English composition and mathematics credits (grade C or better), or SAT scores of 500 or higher in verbal and/or mathematics sections, or ACT scores of 21 or higher in English/Reading and 21 or higher in Mathematics (scores are valid for 5 years from test date).
