This program focuses on the design-related aspects of architecture, developing skills in creating architectural design solutions for the built environment. Students learn architectural drawing, basic CAD and BIM, physical and digital models, digital renderings and VR, 3D printing, and graphic presentation panels.

This program is for students interested in the technical aspects of architecture and focuses on building technology and construction documents. Students develop skills in building technology and construction documents, including drawing, drafting, and modeling in CAD, advanced BIM and sustainability for wood frame, steel and concrete buildings.

This certificate program is for students interested in creative and design aspects of architecture. Students develop skills to create design solutions for the built environment, including base architectural design, architectural drawings, physical and digital models, graphic presentation panels and materials for a work or transfer portfolio.

This program will allow students to develop skills in building technology and construction documents. Students will develop skills in materials of construction, building codes, construction estimating and the professional responsibilities of an architect.

The Skills Certificate in Architectural Fundamentals provides a basic introduction to architectural concepts and skills. It prepares students for further study in architecture or related fields.

This program is for students interested in creative and design aspects of architecture. Students will develop skills to create design solutions for the built environment.

The Skills Certificate in Architectural Technology provides a focus on building technology and construction techniques. It provides practical skills for entry-level positions in the architecture and construction industries.

This certificate focuses on sustainable design principles and Building Information Modeling (BIM) software. It provides skills for creating environmentally responsible and efficient building designs.

The Skills Certificate in Professional Practice covers the professional aspects of working in the architecture field. It offers insights into office practices, ethics, and project management.

Requirements for the Certificate include: 12 “Architectural Drawing” Certificate units. No other course work or LACCD General Education Plan course required. Completion of this Certificate is the foundation for the Associate in Arts Degree, Architectural Drafting and Certificate of Achievement, Architectural Drafting.
