About Cabrini College
Cabrini University, formerly Cabrini College, was a private Catholic university located in Radnor, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1957 by the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, it was named after Saint Frances Cabrini. The university was known for being one of the first in the United States to make community service a graduation requirement for all undergraduates, with a core curriculum centered on social justice. Due to significant financial challenges, declining enrollment, and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Cabrini University ceased operations at the end of the 2023-2024 academic year, holding its final commencement on May 19, 2024, and officially closing on June 28, 2024. Villanova University assumed ownership of the campus, intending to preserve Cabrini's legacy and utilize the campus for its own academic programs and student life, with renovations planned for reopening in the fall of 2026. There is no evidence to suggest Cabrini University offered architecture programs.
